At the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology at Sahlgrenska Academy, extensive research and teaching are conducted across large areas of knowledge - from molecule to human. The activities consist of five sections: pharmacology, physiology, health and rehabilitation, clinical neuroscience, and psychiatry and neurochemistry.
The Department of Neuroscience and Physiology is now seeking a researcher to be placed at the Section of Clinical Neuroscience.
The Section of Clinical Neuroscience conducts education and research in the following areas: neurology, neurosurgery, clinical neurophysiology, ophthalmology, rehabilitation medicine, and laboratory neuroscience.
Within the field of ophthalmology, eye and vision research is conducted using established methods and electrophysiological techniques. This position pertains to research in pediatric ophthalmology, specifically research based on normative values for children aged 0–10 years.
Job Responsibilities
The job responsibilities include compiling previous results and vision assessment in children of various ages – vision profile, with a particular focus on children with disabilities.
Qualifications
Ophthalmologist, neurophysiologist, and associate professor in the field of ophthalmology are required. Experience in both quantitative and qualitative research work is advantageous. Applicants need to be independent in their working methods. We value thoroughness and place great importance on personal suitability.
Employment
The position is a fixed-term employment for 11 months, 10% of full-time, with placement at the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology. Start date: as soon as possible or by agreement.
