Your mission

As an information security officer, you will belong to FRA's security office. The task of the security office is to ensure FRA's security protection for the authority's various operations based on its specific conditions.

In the role of information security officer, you will primarily work with the processing of all questions within the information security area for which the security office is responsible, mainly in the form of:

  • Technical advice prior to system accreditation
  • Security review in connection with accreditation
  • Development of regulations and working methods within the information security area, incident management, and risk assessment

You will be part of a team where you will work both independently and together with colleagues who have similar tasks in the security office. As an information security officer, you will work on issues that have a deep technical character, but the work also consists largely of handling documentation and creating administrative routines. Parts of the work will cross functional boundaries in the security office, meaning you will also work with colleagues from other functions, such as physical security and personnel security. In addition to collaboration within the security office, the position involves many points of contact both internally within the authority and externally, mainly with other authorities.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education in the field of information security with a focus on IT security or computer engineering, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience
  • At least two years of work experience and knowledge of operational IT security work
  • Knowledge of the structure of IT environments and the technical and administrative vulnerabilities they may exhibit
  • Understanding of various technical security functions such as firewalls and antivirus
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with the Armed Forces' regulations regarding security service
  • Worked with technical security reviews of systems
  • Experience working with risk and vulnerability analyses
  • IT security in cloud environments

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. A requirement for employment is a successful security screening with a background check. The security screening will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in wartime. We apply a six-month probationary period.
