About Us

The Logistics Unit consists of three departments that manage central storage, transport, and care-related services.

The mission of the Logistics Unit is to create conditions for the Region's operations by ensuring a robust supply of goods and offering customized care-related services. With a team of approximately 80 dedicated employees, we work to create efficient flows to operations throughout the region. Daily, the unit handles the procurement of textiles and healthcare materials, as well as transporting patients, mail, goods, meals, medications, equipment, and waste.

The position of Business Developer will be placed within the Logistics Unit.

About the Job

The Regional Board has tasked the Service Committee with conducting an investigation of alternative operating forms within laundry and textile services. Therefore, Region Blekinge is now seeking an investigator with good knowledge of the area and the ability to analyze, structure, and write clear decision-making documents.

You will be responsible for developing several possible operating alternatives and describing how they affect operations, finances, and the region's robustness. The investigation must be completed by 2026-10-31.

You will work independently but in close dialogue with the Service Committee and other relevant functions.

As an investigator, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and compiling the entire investigation. This means that you:

• analyze different operating models for laundry and textile services
• develop several feasible action alternatives with clear pros and cons
• compile reports, interim reports, and final presentations
• present results in dialogue with the client and steering group

The position is a special fixed-term employment for 8-11 months.

About You

You have relevant post-secondary education or other documented experience and competence that the employer considers equivalent. You preferably have experience in qualified investigative or analytical work and are used to writing structured and clear reports.

You have knowledge of laundry and textile services, for example from operations, logistics, procurement, business development, or quality work.

You enjoy working independently, are analytical, and confident in your role. You easily create trusting relationships and collaborate with others.

The corporate language of Region Blekinge is Swedish, which means you need to express yourself well in both speech and writing. You have good skills in the Microsoft Office suite.

The Logistics and Meal Service Unit consists of departments within kitchen and restaurant, café and shop, transport and janitorial services, as well as a resource unit.
