We are looking for a technician for Operational Maintenance to support the Quality Service operations in Kiruna. Do you want to contribute to ensuring that the equipment in our sampling facilities and laboratories operates optimally? About the business
The mission of Kiruna Malmförädling is to process the ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are sorting, concentrating, and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process and the other four are support sections within quality, technology and process development, material processes, and Water and Dams.

Your role
In this role, you will work with the maintenance of sampling facilities in the processing plants as well as with equipment in laboratories. The work is practical and involves a lot of movement. You will be out in the operations and responsible for ensuring that the machines operate as they should – you will perform service, solve mechanical problems, and manufacture spare parts as needed.
You will be part of a team consisting of mechanics and technicians. Together, you will work to find new solutions, develop work methods, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the operations. You will have close contact with all the different processing plants within the processing in Kiruna as well as good contact with contractors who perform service on several facilities where you are involved in the work.

You are a responsible person who enjoys taking on new challenges and finding solutions to problems and can think outside the box. You are a confident person who shows consideration, enjoys working in a team, and contributes to a good working environment.
The following is required for the position:
- High school education is required, with a focus on electrical, control/regulation being an advantage
- A valid driver's license (B) is required for all positions at LKAB, for this position a manual license is required
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
Meritorious:
- Experience in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, or control systems
- Familiarity with LKAB facilities in Kiruna
- Previous work experience as a systems technician or electrician and/or in electromechanics
- Good knowledge of English
