Job Description

As a senior project manager, you will lead and implement larger development projects and investment projects within the Environmental and Community Building Administration in the areas of Roads, Water and Sewage, and Bridges. Your task includes steering projects towards established project goals regarding economy, time, quality, and environment. You are responsible for project management, work leadership, review of investigations, calculations, coordination, prioritization, communication, and the establishment of phase plans and timelines, etc. Salems Municipality is facing an exciting phase of developing the town center of Salem, which is one of the projects you will be responsible for.

As a senior project manager, you will also lead and coordinate ongoing work regarding detailed planning and implementation planning based on political decisions, specific operational needs, and in accordance with the municipality's project model. The work is done in collaboration with other administrations, politicians, builders, developers, nearby property owners, network owners, authorities, the public, etc. You have overall responsibility for legal, technical, and economic aspects of the project. The project manager leads and coaches project participants and is responsible for communication with politicians, the public, media, and other stakeholders. You will hold and participate in negotiations, prepare decision-making documents and necessary agreements. You will also be involved in the work of developing and improving our processes and working methods in the administration.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in civil engineering or similar in community building. You have several years of experience as a project manager planning, coordinating, managing, and controlling development projects. You are accustomed to preparing financial calculations and budgets, and you have experience in contract writing, such as development agreements. We would like you to have experience with procurement according to LOU, and it is advantageous if you have municipal experience. We are looking for a confident leader with the ability to create engagement and participation.

As a person, you are clear in your communication and have an easy time expressing yourself both verbally and in writing. It is essential that you have good collaboration skills, are self-driven, structured, and achieve results.
