We are looking for a nurse for our highly specialized day care unit in Huddinge!

We are now looking for someone who is curious about hematology and wants to work within our team at our highly specialized day care unit in Huddinge!

You will be offered

• extensive experience from working within the largest hematological center in the Nordics
• four weeks of individually tailored introduction
• internal skills development, for example through the training “Blood Diseases”
• training in cytostatic handling
• work within a multidisciplinary team where everyone plays an important role in providing the best care for the patient

As a nurse in day care, you may work with:

• Cytostatic treatment
• Antibody treatment
• Blood transfusion
• Stem cell administration
• Supporting patients in difficult life crises
• Booking patients by planning and ordering medications

About the position

The Medical Unit of Hematology is the largest hematological center in the Nordics and receives patients with all forms of blood cancer and non-malignant hematological diseases from the Stockholm region and Gotland. Successful research has contributed to longer lifespans for our patients, which means a constantly increasing number of patients. Therefore, we need to expand our workforce with more employees.

For us, care, research, and education are equally important parts of the work to prolong and improve the lives of patients with blood diseases. Our goal is to build a care structure where current research is used to develop clinical work.

Within the hematological day care in Huddinge, we care for patients who are in need of or have undergone, for example, plasma cell, bone marrow, and/or leukemia treatments. We meet patients who are in the midst of a difficult life crisis, often with chronic diagnoses or at the end of life, where we provide a supportive and caring function. No day is the same with us, and therefore all professional categories are important for us to provide the best care for the patient. The work environment has a strong focus, and you will be part of a stable and secure team. It is important for us to ensure learning and that you receive the competence required for your work.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse and experience working as a nurse.

Meritorious:

• Experience in hematology and/or oncology
• Experience in emergency care
