About the Organization

The in-house care and nursing department operates care and nursing within elderly care and LSS with a total of 12 operations located throughout the municipality. Within elderly care, there are 4 care and nursing homes for the elderly with 16-40 apartments, 2 day activities for the elderly, and night and alarm patrols. The operational area is part of the Social Administration.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an occupational therapist with an 80% working degree. You will work at 2 of our 4 care and nursing homes and LSS operated by the municipality's own management. The homes have a total of 71 apartments, of which 56 are somatic and dementia-oriented.

You will work closely with physiotherapists, nurses, and care staff. Together with the physiotherapist, you form an important piece in shaping a meaningful everyday life for the residents. You guide the care staff's responsibility in a function-preserving working method and you help create a meaningful and active daily life for the elderly. You ensure and participate in the multidisciplinary team around the resident. Documentation is done in Treserva.

The occupational therapist in the team is responsible for:

• Prescription, testing, and follow-up of basic assistive devices.
• Functional and activity assessments in daily activities.
• Individual transfer assessments together with the physiotherapist.
• Guidance in basic transfer techniques for care staff together with the physiotherapist.

Job tasks include:

• Together with the physiotherapist, be responsible for the daily rehabilitation of the residents.
• Conduct assessments/training of ADL abilities.
• Conduct assessments/prescriptions/testing and continuous follow-up of ADL aids as well as cognitive aids.
• Adapt the living environment based on the resident's individual needs, interests, and abilities.
• Plan and lead group activities based on the residents' interests and needs.
• Guide care staff in residents' activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed occupational therapist.
• Has good knowledge of current legislation, such as HSL and SOL.
• Has basic computer skills and documentation experience.
• Masters the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
• Has a B driver's license.

Experience in elderly care is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have been vaccinated against Covid-19 as Danderyd Municipality strives for high vaccination coverage from a patient safety and quality perspective.
