Research Nurse in Stroke Care

About the position

The Stroke Research unit is part of the Neurology Clinic where a research nurse has worked independently with our stroke research studies. As she is now moving on to employment in another region after 17 years of work, we want to take the opportunity to hire 2 research nurses for 40% research combined with 60% ward service. The research work is scheduled during the day, and the ward service includes some evening and weekend shifts.

As a research nurse with us, you will be part of a team with a Neuro Research nurse and a part-time research assistant. You will work together with our researching doctors, both to initiate studies and to conduct both acute studies and follow-up studies in the stroke area.

The work involves starting and managing clinical trials/academic studies where you act as the project leader for the study. In this role, you will include patients in our ongoing studies together with doctors and follow the patients during their participation. You will provide tablet study treatments, perform various checks, handle research samples, follow up patients, and enter data. In the unit, we have a standardized way of working to comply with regulations governing clinical trials.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse
• At least three years of work experience as a nurse

Meritorious:

• Experience working as a research nurse and/or in stroke care
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English
• GCP training
