Psychiatry Southern Stockholm is hiring a nurse
Psychiatry Southern Stockholm strives to be a leading example in Swedish psychiatry.
We achieve this by working person-centered, offering the right competence for the patient's needs, emphasizing the application of evidence-based guidelines and care programs. We continue to invest in development work in the areas of patient safety, care processes, and our most important resource, our employees. We are over 850 dedicated employees who provide patients with good, safe, and equitable care.
About the psychiatric department Gubbängen
The psychiatric department in Gubbängen is a general psychiatric department focusing on affective disorders, anxiety, and personality disorders. The department has 21 beds, and the average length of stay is 13 days. Both voluntary patients and those under psychiatric compulsory care (LPT) are treated at the department. The department also currently has a place for self-chosen admission in collaboration with Andreashuset.
At the department, caregivers, nurses, social workers, medical secretaries, and doctors work together. Through an empathetic approach combined with knowledge and commitment, we aim to support our patients in finding hope and starting their journey towards recovery.
In the autumn of 2025, we will launch a KUA (Clinical Education Department) here in Gubbängen, where we will gather our various student categories to jointly care for the patients treated at the KUA under supervision.
Our department in Gubbängen has its own garden, and most patients have their own room. The department is centrally located yet secluded - only a three-minute walk from the subway.
Your role as a nurse
As a nurse in the department, you will take care of and lead psychiatric and somatic care. You will have a lot of contact with caregivers and relatives. Your tasks will include medication administration, documentation in the TakeCare journal system, and patient conversations. You have an empathetic ability reflected in curiosity and openness to new people, and you are respectful. We place great emphasis on flexibility and good collaboration skills.
You are a licensed nurse, and it is advantageous if you have experience working in psychiatry.
Even if you are a newly graduated nurse, you are welcome to apply for the position. We offer a tailored introduction program just for you.
