Our goal is to facilitate the lives of children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities, thereby creating conditions for greater participation in society. The Autism Center for Young Children is a regional service within Habilitation & Health for children aged 0-6 years with a diagnosis within the autism spectrum. We strive to be at the forefront of research and development for our target group. Applied behavior analysis characterizes our working methods and our methods. The Autism Center for Young Children consists of about 50 employees, one of whom is now moving on within the organization, which means we need to fill that gap.

Job Responsibilities:

As an investigative psychologist at the Autism Center for Young Children, your main task is to conduct developmental assessments with the question of intellectual disability in preschool-aged children with a diagnosis within the autism spectrum. You work independently but in close collaboration with other investigative psychologists and other colleagues in the unit. You have access to external supervision regarding the investigation work. The developmental assessments include, among other things, taking anamnesis, testing, and associated administration. Testing is done with standard testing instruments. In addition to the main task of conducting developmental assessments, there may be tasks such as clinical treatment and leading group activities.

Qualifications:

Licensed psychologist with experience in investigation and diagnosis of intellectual disability. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

Experience and knowledge of the target group and ABA are meritorious.

You need to have a good ability to plan and work independently. You need to be structured, flexible, inventive, and able to handle a high work pace. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and good collaboration skills.

Habilitation & Health is part of the Stockholm County Health Care Area (SLSO) within Region Stockholm. We are a knowledge organization that conducts its own research and development and runs several specialized units. In patient-related work within the Stockholm County Health Care Area:

• register control is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching instructions for register control at employment.
• employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health care before employment.
• in addition to Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
