Engaged Staff Member for Supported Housing for Youth
Caleo Omsorg ABStockholms län, Stockholm
Previous experience is desired
Caleo Omsorg has been providing safe and individualized care solutions since 2012. We operate licensed supported housing for young people aged 16–20 who have come as unaccompanied minors, have previously been placed due to social issues, or live in a conflict-ridden or otherwise unsatisfactory home situation.
We are now looking for a committed and practical staff member who wants to be a stable and present part of the staffing at our supported housing in Södermalm, Stockholm.
About the position
This is a role for you who enjoys creating structure, comfort, and order – and who finds it meaningful to be there for young adults in their daily lives.
You will be part of the daily staffing at the residence and work closely with both the youth and colleagues. The role involves:
- Contributing to a pleasant, safe, and well-functioning living environment
- Taking responsibility for practical tasks such as minor repairs, organizing, cleaning, and general order in our premises
- Supporting the youth in daily routines such as cooking, waking up, shopping, cleaning, and household chores
- Being available for conversations, guidance, and everyday advice for our youth
- Documenting events and interventions according to current procedures
You will not have your own client cases, but you are an important adult presence in the house – a person who creates structure, calm, and continuity in daily life.
The working hours are primarily scheduled for weekends, with the possibility of working evenings and, if needed, overnight on-call duty (the position is part-time).
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in care, social work, or similar fields
- Is practical and enjoys fixing, repairing, and organizing our premises
- Is accustomed to documenting in writing
- Has good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
- Feels comfortable holding guiding and supportive conversations
Post-secondary education in social work or similar is an advantage, but personal suitability and practical ability weigh heavily in this recruitment.
Who are you?
You are a secure adult with a stable and low-arousal approach. You see what needs to be done and take initiative without needing to be told.
You enjoy working in a team and contribute to a culture where everyone supports each other and facilitates colleagues' work. You are flexible, unpretentious, and easily adapt to the needs of the organization.
Meeting young adults in everyday conversations, being available, and providing practical advice is something you find meaningful. You do not need to own processes or drive cases – your strength lies in presence, structure, and relationship-building in daily work.
You are:
- Independent but rule-oriented
- Practical problem-solver
- Structured and orderly
- Responsive and clear in your communication
- Comfortable working weekends and, if needed, nights (on-call duty)
We offer
A meaningful job in an organization where relationships, safety, and professionalism are at the center. With us, you will work in a close-knit team with short decision-making paths and the opportunity to contribute to a stable and safe environment for our youth.
Presenting a valid extract from the police's criminal record and suspicion register is a requirement for employment and must be presented upon request.
Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis – welcome with your application today.
