Our Operations

The Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases (ENT) diagnoses and treats diseases and conditions affecting the ears, nose, sinuses, oral cavity, upper airways, as well as hearing and balance. We are primarily a surgical department with both planned and emergency services. The surgery can range from simpler procedures to more extensive tumor surgery in the head and neck area. We also have an emergency service in the form of a walk-in clinic within ENT, which in the evenings, nights, and weekends is located in the ward and staffed by personnel from the department. The walk-in clinic receives patients with infections in the ears, nose, and throat, nosebleeds, dizziness, and severe airway obstructions.

The department has 12 patient beds with only single rooms, and patients are divided into care teams staffed by nursing assistants and registered nurses. We care for both children and adults, and the length of stay varies from less than a day to several weeks.

Your Mission

The nursing needs of our patients are very diverse, and the work is based on a strong focus on highly specialized nursing. As a staff member in the department, you are expected to contribute your professional competence and your commitment to create safety, continuity, and a high level of trust in patient interactions.

The basic nursing includes pre- and post-operative care. In the highly specialized nursing, assessment and management of airway issues, bleeding from the nose and throat, as well as care and management of tracheostomized patients are included.

The department is particularly focused on diseases of the upper airways, with a pronounced emphasis on tracheostomy care. For those lacking prior experience in the field, we offer a structured and operationally adapted training in tracheostomy care as part of the introduction.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. If you have experience working with ear, nose, and throat, it is an advantage. As a person, you are stable, solution-oriented, secure, and empathetic. You are responsible, always have the patient in focus, and appreciate teamwork.

The position is a permanent employment starting by agreement.
