Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and ensure that research and innovation yield results.

Region Västerbotten provides broad primary care services throughout Västerbotten County, meeting patients of all ages, both in urban and rural areas. With 33 health centers and medical clinics, we are where you are. We actively engage in research and development, utilizing medical results to offer high-quality care where the patient is involved.

We want our employees to be involved, have influence, and feel proud to work in primary care. Important focus areas for us are to offer a needs-based care supply and to continue developing digital services. We see great value in collaboration with other actors in society.

Primary Care West is a base unit with four health centers in both urban and rural areas, distributed across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. The health centers have close collaboration within the base unit. Good connections with local and regional transport facilitate commuting to, from, and between our units.

Vännäs Health Center is beautifully located by the banks of the Ume River and is a newly built, modern facility located about 30 km from Umeå city. Approximately forty employees work at the health center. In Vännäs, we work in different teams, engage in active workplace environment efforts, and have good collaboration with the municipality's various care services.

Our guiding principles are: Friendly, clear, consistent.
