Job Responsibilities

Within Umeå municipality, you will work as a nurse with independent responsibility for health and medical care interventions for our care recipients. Our tasks include telephone advice, medical assessments, prescriptions, and palliative care. We operate from a shared office and perform unplanned and planned interventions within ordinary housing as well as care and nursing homes in elderly and disability care.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse with experience in the profession. We prefer candidates with experience in home healthcare and/or elderly care, as well as specialist training focused on district nursing or elderly care, but this is not a requirement. Furthermore, for the position, you need a B driver's license and fluent knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

As a nurse in the municipality, you, together with your colleagues, have the highest medical competence in the organization. Therefore, the role requires you to be confident in taking responsibility, have good initiative, and actively contribute to clear and professional communication in collaboration with other professional groups. You meet care recipients, relatives, and partners with a good, respectful, and professional approach. We place great importance on personal suitability.

At the workplace, there may be pets and smokers, so you should not be allergic. Transfers may occur, but aids are available.

Employment Information

This is a permanent full-time position, starting 2026-04-20 or by agreement. Working hours are scheduled for evenings and nights with duty every third weekend. Working time reduction with a weekly working time of 32 hours. In addition to overtime pay, extra compensation is provided for each evening shift.
