In Avesta, we invest a lot in meals and prepare them with fresh ingredients from scratch. Our guiding stars are to prepare good and healthy food of high and safe quality. Within Avesta municipality's operations, we serve meals to guests of various ages and needs, including preschool children, school students, and the elderly. All guests are offered good, well-prepared, safe, and healthy food. It is of high quality and is, as far as possible, prepared from scratch without unnecessary additives.

This gives you the opportunity to control your time and plan when you want to work. As a substitute, you will replace regular staff during short absences. This means that you will perform the tasks included in the regular work at the workplace where you are employed.

As a substitute, you need to be able to adapt to new situations, as you may work in different workplaces and the working hours can vary. As a person, you are service-oriented and understand the importance of a good reception. You find it easy to collaborate and can adapt to changes. We are conducting selections and holding interviews on an ongoing basis – but the need for new substitutes varies, which means that the process can take different lengths of time. Within meals, you will have a creative and imaginative job where you prepare and cook varied and nutritious meals. As a substitute cook, you can work both in larger kitchens and in smaller kitchens. It is an advantage if you have education focused on restaurant and large kitchen, at the upper secondary or post-secondary level.

Qualifications
We emphasize personal qualities. To fit as a substitute, you need to:
- communicate well in Swedish, both spoken and written
- have computer skills

It is an advantage if you:
- have previous experience in the profession
- have a B driver's license and access to a car
