At Hässleholm Hospital, approximately 80 people work within the Rehabilitation area (VO) distributed across five different teams, responsible for all outpatient and inpatient care at the hospital. Within our area, there are specialist clinics for pain rehabilitation, memory assessment, and rehabilitation.

We work from a holistic perspective where preventive, function-enhancing, compensatory, and supportive activities are important components. Together with both internal and external actors, we conduct solid collaborative work to achieve the best possible results for our patients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome a colleague occupational therapist to us at VO Rehabilitation who, in close collaboration with two other occupational therapists, will work within the medicine and orthopedics department. In the team you will be part of, there are also a dietitian, social worker, physiotherapist, and rehabilitation assistant working towards medicine and orthopedics, as well as an occupational therapist working in outpatient care with hand rehabilitation.

As an occupational therapist with us, you will work in inpatient care in the orthopedic department, acute care department, neurology department, and medicine department. The work is varied and includes assessment and rehabilitation of patients with varying care needs. You will be responsible for activity assessments, training in daily activities (ADL), fitting and prescribing assistive devices, and following up on implemented measures. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the patient, relatives, and other professionals in the multidisciplinary team. We also work closely with our external partners (e.g., municipalities and primary care) to ensure good assessment, treatment, and safe discharge for our patients.

You contribute occupational therapy expertise in care planning, discharge processes, and team rounds, and provide guidance and advice to healthcare staff. Documentation and quality work are a natural part of the assignment. We value a person-centered approach where the patient's participation, independence, and safety are in focus.

We offer training within the framework of the assignment and tailor the introduction to your needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed occupational therapist with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. It is an advantage if you have experience as an occupational therapist in inpatient care and are familiar with working collaboratively through Mina planer and with documentation in Melior.
