The field of hematology, oncology, and radiation physics is one of the largest at Skåne University Hospital. The clinical research unit, which is a joint unit for hematology and oncology, conducts both academic and industry-sponsored studies from First-In-Human (FIH) and phase 1 to phase 4. We have a close collaboration with clinical care in both Lund and Malmö and strive to provide first-class cancer care with a strong connection to research and development, in collaboration with Lund and Malmö universities.

We have about 40 employees, mainly consisting of nurses, but there are also nursing assistants, biomedical analysts, and medical secretaries. Together, we are currently conducting about 100 studies in oncology and hematology, in both Lund and Malmö.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you interested in clinical research and studies in cancer care? Do you want to contribute to the development of future cancer treatments and our clinical trial unit in Lund? Do you enjoy working in a team while having a lot of personal responsibility? Then you are the one we are looking for!

As a research nurse, you will work in a team with other research nurses and doctors and collaborate with other units and pharmaceutical companies. The work is varied and involves engagement in several clinical studies. You will participate in the planning, execution, and compilation of clinical drug trials. Your work is characterized by high quality, and you work actively and independently in a team towards set goals and timelines. Travel may occur in the service, both nationally and internationally, in the form of investigator meetings within clinical studies.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. You are an experienced computer user with good knowledge of the Office suite.

We prefer that you are confident in your professional role and have a few years of work experience after graduation. Knowledge of Melior and Case Report Form (CRF) is an advantage. Experience with clinical trials and/or research projects, as well as in oncology and/or hematology, is a plus. It is also beneficial if you have experience working in project form, from initiation and planning to execution and follow-up, as well as training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

As a person, you are humble, structured, and meticulous, with the ability to independently plan your work and meet deadlines. You have good collaboration skills and flexibility towards both internal and external colleagues. You have an interest in developing the unit together with your colleagues and easily create a good working environment with positive relationships around you. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
