Our Operations
We are now looking for a Unit Manager for Health and Medical Care.
It is a competent team consisting of nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, as well as several hourly employees. The unit is located at two different special accommodations operated by the municipality: Djuröhemmet and Gustavsgården.
Your Mission
As the unit manager for Health and Medical Care, you will have overall responsibility for leading HSL staff within elderly care. You will be responsible for personnel, finances, and operations. You will collaborate with MAS/MAR based on overarching guidelines and develop and implement routines in the operations. The role includes collaboration with other professional categories as well as internal and external stakeholders. Expectations exist for compliance with the budget and achieving the set political goals. The organization is undergoing change, and you must be able to make decisions even when circumstances change.
Your Experience
- Licensed nurse, occupational therapist, or physiotherapist
- Previous experience leading HSL staff
- Experience managing budgets
- Experience or insight into working in a politically governed organization
- Translating various legal requirements into routines with good systematic work around patient safety
Mandatory Requirements:
- Licensed nurse/occupational therapist/physiotherapist
- 3 years of university/higher education as a nurse/physiotherapist/occupational therapist
- Good knowledge of legislation in elderly care
- Experience in driving change and development work
- Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish
Desirable:
- Specialist training in elderly care, management training/leadership training/organizational development
- Experience as a manager in a politically governed organization
- Experience in preventive work and workplace development
- You have good digital skills and the ability to use various digital tools in your work and quickly adapt to new systems
- System knowledge in Pulsen Combine, Stratsys, and Heroma
