About the job

As an operations technician, you will primarily work with supervision, maintenance, and corrective maintenance of technical installations within ventilation and medical gases.

The hospital properties contain many technically advanced systems that have very high demands for availability. Depending on your ambition level, there are opportunities to develop in several directions. The work also involves investigations of extensive or recurring operational disturbances.

Examples of tasks that may occur depending on your previous experience:

• Responsibility for annual operation and supervision of the medical gas facility according to applicable laws and regulations
• Handling of acute operational disturbances with a high level of service
• Daily supervision of the compressor center and drainage center, as well as ordering gas cylinders and replacing them as needed
• Performing supervision, maintenance, and corrective maintenance of air treatment systems
• Contributing suggestions for maintenance measures that can improve property operations
• Participating in project and improvement work

The department is divided into teams with specific focuses, and you plan your day together with your team. For planning, follow-up, and documentation, a digital system support is used. Once you have sufficient knowledge of the facility and have settled into the role, you are expected to join the department's emergency organization.

The department is responsible for Region Halland's properties in Halmstad, Hylte, and Laholm. Most of the work will take place at the hospital in Halmstad and health centers in the surrounding area.

About the workplace

Technology and property is an area within the administration of Regionservice that is tasked with delivering operation and service of Region Halland's properties and technical installations. We have expertise in areas such as technical management, electricity, plumbing, gas, control & regulation technology, mechanics, outdoor environment, and energy.

We are about 80 employees and are located throughout the region. We solve our mission with a mix of our own staff and subcontractors. Our strength is that we are versatile but at the same time specialized in the systems that maintain a safe and secure operation in the more protected properties in Halland. We operate throughout the county with staff based in Kungsbacka, Varberg, Halmstad, and Hylte municipality. The position is located at the hospital in Halmstad, but travel across the county is included.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education in property technology or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience. You may have worked as a ventilation technician or property technician and have a broad technical knowledge and interest. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have knowledge in any of the areas of industrial gas, medical gas, plumbing work, or ventilation.

We do not expect you to know everything before you start with us, but you need to have a genuine interest in technology and a willingness to learn. Furthermore, you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You also have experience working in IT systems and have good computer skills. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.

You take responsibility and initiative, can plan, execute, and document your work. We see that you are meticulous and motivated by finding solutions to problems. In your work, you will have contact with many customers, so it is important that you are service-oriented and enjoy customer interactions. We also see that you have pedagogical and communicative abilities.
