Job Description

Take the opportunity to try an interesting summer temporary position as a treatment assistant at SiS Johannisberg in Kalix. Ahead of summer 2025, SiS as an employer offers a summer bonus for temporary workers in client-facing roles.

The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth towards new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you will help ensure that the routines on the department function as they should. You play a significant role in providing stability and security for our youth and clients, and you are responsible for the foundation of daily life such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You contribute to maintaining safety at the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good treatment relationships and help ensure that our youth and clients receive the security and safety they need to break old habits. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

The working hours are according to a schedule of day, evening, and weekend shifts.

As a summer temporary worker at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training to prepare you for your assignment with us.

Qualifications

You should have:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in corrections, psychiatry, or LSS care
• Driver's license B
• Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing
• Good physical ability

Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, great empathy, and the ability to create good treatment relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

Summer temporary work within SiS provides valuable experiences and knowledge for those studying to become social pedagogues or other post-secondary education with a focus on psychology, sociology, or pedagogy. We therefore encourage students to take the chance to apply for summer temporary positions with us.

We want to reward those who help us during the summer period; therefore, those who work full-time as monthly employed temporary workers for more than four weeks will receive a bonus. Employment

The positions are temporary full-time contracts during the period of June - August or by agreement. There is also the possibility of hourly work before and after the summer periods. Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
