Something is always happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother is operated on, a colleague is celebrated as a hero. Our Operations
The Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases (ENT) diagnoses and treats diseases and conditions related to the ears, nose, sinuses, oral cavity, upper airways, as well as hearing and balance. We are primarily a surgical department with both planned and emergency services. The surgery can range from simpler procedures to more extensive tumor surgery in the head and neck area. We also have an emergency service in the form of a walk-in clinic within ENT, which is located on the ward during evenings, nights, and weekends and is staffed by personnel from the department. At the walk-in clinic, we receive patients with infections in the ear, nose, and throat areas, nosebleeds, dizziness, and severe airway obstructions.
The department has 12 patient beds with only single rooms, and patients are divided into care teams staffed by nursing assistants and registered nurses. We care for both children and adults, and the length of stay varies from less than a day to several weeks.
Our planned surgeries are scheduled by a registration nurse who works daytime in the department. This is the position we are advertising for and seeking a nurse to fill.
Your Mission
Main Responsibilities
With us, you will play a key role in the patient's journey towards surgery. You:
- Are responsible for preoperative assessments and create a safe start for the patient
- Prepare and guide patients before surgery with clear and individualized information
- Ensure that tests, examinations, and documentation are complete before the procedure
- Work systematically with medication reviews according to prescriptions
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other professionals to create a safe and efficient surgical planning
The registrations take place Monday to Thursday, and on Fridays you will be working on the ward or conducting training sessions. This also occurs on other weekdays when the workload allows.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a trained nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. If you have experience working with ear, nose, and throat, it is an advantage. As a person, you are stable, solution-oriented, secure, and empathetic. You are responsible, always have the patient in focus, and appreciate teamwork.
We Offer
- An inspiring job in a highly specialized healthcare environment
- Opportunities for continuous professional development and education
