About Us

We who work at the dialysis clinic are a wonderful and stable team consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors. We now want to invite another person to become our colleague and to have the opportunity to specialize and further develop kidney care at Mälarsjukhuset. The aim of our operation is to increase the patient's knowledge and understanding of their kidney disease as well as to enhance self-care ability. Our dialysis operation is located on two floors, level 12 with assisted dialysis and on level 13 which is a self-dialysis clinic where patients are trained and manage their treatment independently.

Your Responsibilities

We offer you a stimulating and varied job that is also routine-driven and gives you the opportunity to specialize in dialysis care. During a work shift, nurses and nursing assistants work together to provide our patients with dialysis treatment. A nurse is responsible for 3-4 patients during a work shift.

This means that you will combine care with medical technology. The care needs vary depending on the dialysis patient's general condition, so the work can shift from monitoring to handling acute conditions. The majority of dialysis patients have chronic kidney disease, which means establishing a long-term relationship; we also meet patients in acute stages.

As a new employee, you will receive thorough onboarding with two experienced mentors who will provide you with the conditions to feel secure and confident in your new workplace, regardless of whether you have long or short experience. The onboarding lasts for 6-8 weeks. We have individual schedule planning and the clinic is open Monday to Saturday. Evening shifts until 8:00 PM are available on Mondays and Fridays.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse. You are a person who puts the patient in focus, has a professional approach, and is positive with a good attitude. You enjoy working independently but also have good collaboration skills. Experience in dialysis care or kidney competence is an advantage but not a requirement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
