Job Description
Your work as a technician in maintenance at the Assistive Technology Center is about patient safety and good service. You contribute with your collaboration skills and technical expertise to provide our customers with assistive devices. Your tasks include:
- repair, maintenance, and adaptation of manual and powered assistive devices such as walkers, wheelchairs, and lifts
- documentation, orders, and other administration are a natural part of the assignment
- work is done at the patient's location in collaboration with customers, patients, and colleagues.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role of technician, you need to:
- have a good attitude and be service-oriented
- work well with others
- enjoy adapting to changing situations
- be responsible and meticulous to ensure quality and high safety
You have completed a technical education at the high school level or are currently in your final year of high school, as you need to be 18 years old to work with us. Since you will have many contacts in your work, it is important that you can communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. You have good computer skills and are used to learning to work in various IT systems. Furthermore, you have the physical ability required to walk and stand throughout the workday. A B driver's license and good driving experience are required for the position.
Previous experience with assistive devices or the business system Sesam is an advantage.
About the Assistive Technology Center
The Assistive Technology Center is part of the Supply Administration within the Västra Götaland Region and is a competence and logistics center for the 49 municipalities, as well as the Västra Götaland Region's own operations. We are located in Borås, Mölndal, Skövde, and Uddevalla.
Our service offerings are based on the needs of healthcare providers for both in-depth knowledge in the field of assistive technology and various service offerings to support the care chain. We handle purchasing, inventory management, distribution, as well as service and maintenance of assistive devices. We also assist prescribers with, among other things, assistive device consulting, individual testing, adaptations/special adaptations, as well as study visits and training.
We offer you a developing workplace where you receive introduction, training, and good employment conditions. As part of our team, you as an employee lay the foundation for a functioning healthcare system.

Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period. Since the position is a summer temporary job, it is important that you are available to work during June-August. Questions about the position are handled by Tanja Karlsson, unit manager for the Maintenance Team in Uddevalla.
