Test Technician at FMV
Are you a technician with experience working in a team within practical technical work? Are you clear and able to remain calm in stressful situations? Do you want to work on qualified projects aimed at making Sweden and the world safer? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
About the Position
As a test technician, you will prepare and conduct testing activities primarily in the area of small caliber firearms and associated ammunition. You will also be responsible for the production of target materials made of cardboard, wood, or metal constructions and carefully collect data for protocols or reports. The role involves maintaining the testing resources at the test site and undergoing training for various weapon and measurement systems.
The position is located in Karlsborg. Travel may occur, both domestically and internationally.
About You
You have a high school education with a technical or practical focus or have equivalent skills acquired in another way. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and the same should apply to English.
Experience with firearms and/or testing is an advantage but not a requirement. You are technically skilled with a good understanding of technical and mechanical systems.
A prerequisite for the job is that you hold a valid driver's license (B).

FMV's area of operations Test and Evaluation (T&E) is a quality assurance function whose main task is to ensure that the requirements placed on the material that FMV delivers to the Armed Forces are met and maintain the intended quality and function.
T&E Ground conducts various types of testing activities for the needs of ground combat units, and the testing unit in Karlsborg is responsible for ensuring that the requirements placed on the weapons, ammunition, and protection to be delivered to the Armed Forces are met. The testing unit in Skövde is responsible for ensuring that the various military vehicles and combat vehicles' systems meet the Armed Forces' requirements.
