Description

GSL has the overall responsibility to drive and coordinate the City of Gothenburg's circular strategy work.

We support the City's departments and companies so that furniture, furnishings, and work clothes can be reused. Tage is part of the circular Gothenburg and operates under Göteborgs Stads Leasing AB (GSL). Tage stands for taking and giving, and through Tage, the City's operations have reduced the need for new purchases of movable property by approximately 130 million SEK since its inception in 2013. Additionally, the climate impact has decreased by over 3,300 tons of CO2e. Tage makes a difference!

Do you want to join the Tage team and work with reuse to make Gothenburg a more sustainable city? The Tage team currently consists of 6 people who work full-time with warehouse management, workshops, guidance, marketplace, logistics, customer contacts, and circular development. We now need to expand our workforce with a workshop coordinator at the Tage depot to provide even better support to the City's operations in the circular work.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a person who wants to join our Tage team and work on renovating and circulating furniture and furnishings in the City of Gothenburg. Your role and responsibilities may include:

• Guiding individuals in various forms of work training
• Developing the Tage workshop together with the Tage team
• Handling and assessing incoming products
• Ensuring that damaged furniture and furnishings are given new life with a focus on the textile part
• Managing incoming and outgoing deliveries of handled products
• Moving goods with a forklift
• Collaborating with customers both internally and externally
• Other tasks may also occur in our Tage depot with warehouse management and tasks within the Tage team.

Qualifications

• At least a 3-year high school education
• Experience in guiding participants in work training, including:
• Introducing and distributing tasks
• Adapting work tasks based on individual needs, work ability, and development
• Following up on attendance, progression, and goal fulfillment
• Documenting efforts according to the organization's routines
• Collaborating with social services, labor market units, and other relevant functions
• Education and/or documented professional experience in textile work is required; for example, sewing, repair, renovation, or upholstery
• Practical experience working with textile reuse and sustainable solutions; for example, mending, reworking, and redesigning textiles and/or furniture
• Ability to independently perform work tasks and guide others in a safe and structured manner
• Experience working in the public sector or the City of Gothenburg is also an advantage, as is experience working with sustainability or circular issues in various contexts.
• Good experience working with various IT support
• Driving license B and forklift license is a plus
• Proficiency in the Swedish language in both spoken and written form
• Communicative skills and ability to build relationships
