Description

We are looking for someone who can step in as a cook and prepare meals for our students as needed.

The placement is within our school meal operations, and you will be stationed in one of our three kitchens. We prepare food from scratch as much as possible. It is very important to be able to cook and handle special diets, have knowledge about allergies, and possess skills in vegetarian, climate-smart, and organic nutrition. Hygiene is a very important part of a kitchen. Cooks must keep their workspace clean and handle all food products hygienically.

With us, you need to be curious about thinking innovatively and also have an interest in aesthetics so that we can encourage our students to try new things - as a cook, you face new challenges every day. In the cooking profession, good collaboration skills are essential, and we also see that good physical strength and fitness are of great importance for the role.

This position demands a high level of self-work, initiative, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

To work as a cook within the Upper Secondary and Adult Education Administration, you should have experience in similar work within large kitchens.

We prefer that you have previous knowledge of cooking from scratch, can plan menus, and have knowledge in nutrition. It is advantageous if you have prior experience in leadership, practical economics, and allergy and special diets.

We are looking for someone who

has knowledge and experience in dietary food
has good collaboration skills, takes responsibility, and can work at a fast pace
has a genuine interest in food and is service-oriented with a strong interest in and ease of working with young people aged 16-20
expresses themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work.
