Who are we looking for?
We are now looking for a café staff member who, with joy and positivity, wants to work in a team where service spirit and teamwork are at the center. With enthusiasm, you will deliver outstanding service to all the guests of the café.
The job includes, among other things, preparation and serving of food and drinks, cash handling, and keeping the workplace and café clean and tidy. Occasionally, inventory and ordering of goods may also occur.
About Café Vänern
Café Vänern is a café located at Karlstad University where we serve everything from healthy salads, breakfast, various sandwiches, delicious homemade pastries, and coffee. You will work full-time during the semesters and have longer breaks during the summer and at Christmas. Working hours are approximately 07:30-15:30 Monday to Friday. We are closed on weekends. It is important that you have cash handling experience and previous experience in sales and similar tasks.
The tasks include daily preparation of sandwiches, salads, various breakfast packages, sales, and cash service. You will also deliver and pick up catering at various locations in our building.
Who are you?
- You are over 18 years old
- You find joy in actively working with upselling
- You have no problem working independently as well as in a group
- With your positivity, you take responsibility for maintaining a high level of service throughout the day
- Good service is important to you, where a smile and eye contact are a given
- You see your significance in satisfied guests, are positive, stress-resistant, and have an easy time collaborating and communicating
- You can take your own initiatives and are flexible in your professional role
- You enjoy planning and structuring your work to make it efficient
- You speak and write Swedish
- Previous experience working in a café is a plus
