Glaskogen is Värmland's largest nature reserve and outdoor area, covering 28,000 hectares and attracting up to 80,000 visitors per year from around the world. We have 300 kilometers of hiking trails and 150 kilometers of canoeing routes in the reserve.

Café Carl is beautifully situated on a hill in Lenungshammar in a modern log cabin with a view of Lake Flagan. Here we serve homemade food with a clear connection to the forest and landscape, where game meat and carefully selected herbs and spices from nature are at the center. Our selection also includes homemade cakes, pastries, freshly baked waffles, and ice cream.

Job Responsibilities

As café staff, you are our face to the outside world and are responsible for providing our guests with a professional and welcoming experience. The work is varied and includes cash handling, customer service, preparation of simple cold and hot dishes, serving, dishwashing, as well as cleaning and ongoing maintenance of the café's premises.

By rotating tasks, we create effective collaboration within the workgroup and a good working environment. The position requires a responsible service mindset and the ability to work systematically even during busier periods.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is hardworking, service-minded, stress-resistant, structured, and meticulous, as well as solution-oriented. We prefer that you have experience or education from café or restaurant operations and a passion for food and service. You make our visitors feel welcome and greet them with a big smile. Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required. Knowledge of German is a plus.

Since there are no public transport options to Lenungshammar, you need to be able to transport yourself to and from work independently.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment from April to October 2025 (weekend work).

Employment scope: Part-time to full-time approximately 25-40 hours/week.

Workplace: Café Carl, Lenungshammar, Värmland.

Start date: By agreement.

Salary type: Hourly wage.
