Lead Chef at Brogymnasiet

We are currently looking for a lead chef for Brogymnasiet's kitchen. Does that sound interesting? We warmly welcome your application!
Brogymnasiet's kitchen is a production kitchen for high school students with a team of 4 employees who prepare lunch for about 600 students every weekday.
The Service Department is responsible for ensuring that all children, youth, and the elderly receive nutritious and good food in the municipality's preschools, schools, and special accommodations. We strive for climate-smart cooking using organic ingredients and meals prepared from scratch.
The Technical Administration consists of nearly 200 employees and works to ensure that the municipality's traffic environment is safe and accessible, and that children, youth, and the elderly receive nutritious and good food in our educational institutions and special accommodations. We are responsible for residents' access to clean and fresh water from the tap. We manage the collection of household waste and waste facilities, cleaning for our administrative premises, contract and rental management, and service. We also oversee recreational facilities, parks, and playgrounds.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities include leading and distributing the daily work, participating in the preparation of daily meals including special diets. You will plan and develop meals together with your team.
Your role includes being responsible for ensuring that the kitchen meets the department's set goals, kitchen self-control, planning and making purchases, reviewing invoices, and menu planning in Mashie.
Meetings with other team leaders and Apt meetings occur regularly throughout the year.
The work schedule is rotating, including tasks such as dishwashing, serving, and cleaning.
The position is a temporary employment, which means you will be off during certain holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
- is a trained chef with several years of experience in leading operations and employees in large kitchens or restaurant kitchens.
- is accustomed to developing kitchen operations and working customer- and guest-oriented.
- is comfortable using IT and data as support in your work.
- has the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- has knowledge of guidelines and recommendations regarding food for children and special diets.
We are in a digitized meal process, and it is advantageous if you have experience working with the dietary data system Mashie.
We prefer you to be confident and self-sufficient with a willingness to develop and take initiative. You should not be afraid to contribute new ideas and thoughts. You have a good ability to create engagement among your employees and ensure that the operations develop according to set goals. The role requires you to be flexible, attentive, and communicative to lead, inspire, and bring out the best in others, as the job involves many contacts with new people and situations. You should value a sense of community and have a pronounced sense of responsibility and service.
