ABOUT THE POSITION

Karlstad Airport is owned by Karlstad Municipality and Region Värmland. Their goal is to offer well-adapted air traffic for both businesses and private individuals in the region in the form of both scheduled and charter traffic. In addition, they have also been designated as an emergency airport by the government, which means they are on standby every day of the year to open the airport for public service traffic.

As an airport service staff member at Karlstad Airport, you will play a central role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for passengers. Your main task is to provide first-class customer service and a professional approach in the bistro, duty-free shop, and bar.

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Karlstad Airport.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

Receive customers and be responsible for the duty-free shop.
Handle simple serving and daily routines at the airport's bistro and gate bar.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Is studying at a post-secondary level at least 50% with graduation no earlier than January 2028, or has another main occupation of at least 50%.
Has previously worked in a service-oriented role.
Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech, as both languages are used in your work.
Holds a B driver's license and has access to a car, as public transport does not reach the airport.

Additional Information

Start: April 2025.
Scope: Part-time
Working hours: Adjusted according to flight departures, mostly Sundays and Thursdays. Before the start of employment, you will receive a schedule of your working hours and are expected to be available for 2 shifts a week.
Location: Våldalen 570, Karlstad
The position is security classified, which means a security review, including a background check, will be conducted in connection with employment (in accordance with Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Security Protection Act).
