We are now looking for a head of nutrition for the meal service unit in Sunne municipality!

In Sunne municipality, everyone works based on the common value foundation of respect, development, and professionalism, which permeates daily operations, long-term decisions, and leadership. Within the community building operations, the areas of responsibility include: Meal Service, Public Environment, Water and Waste Management, Environmental and Building Unit, Emergency Services, Culture Unit, and Business Unit.

The leadership for meal service involves engaging and contributing to the municipality's continued development towards a health-promoting and service-oriented community.

Meal Service prepares all meals for preschools, schools, and elderly care in the municipality. We focus on the meal guest, young and old. The unit includes a further education project, “Academy Kitchen,” for the further training of staff from meal assistants to chefs. You will also have the opportunity to influence the design of the municipality's major investment in a new production kitchen within the next year.

Your tasks

As a unit manager, you are expected to lead your staff in the kitchens to coordinate, inspire, and develop positive meal experiences of high quality for our meal guests. A significant and important part of the work is internal and external dialogue and collaboration. You are responsible for ensuring that the operation and economy of the unit's kitchens are conducted according to budget and plan, and that decisions made are implemented.

You have personnel and work environment responsibility in the unit, where you work to create good conditions for competence development, participation, work results, and work environment. You are well acquainted with applicable legislation, goals, and guidelines within your area of work. You are responsible for ensuring that the staff are updated and knowledgeable about the operation's fire and safety routines, hygiene routines, self-control of food handling, and similar routines that apply.

You are part of the Community Building management group and report to the head of community building. You collaborate and maintain good relationships with other municipal operations, politics, and external parties, such as other municipalities in the region and the business community.

Qualifications

You have an academic education in nutrition, food, and meal knowledge, or you have acquired your knowledge and experience in another way that can be equated with an education. You have previously held a position that included responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances within similar areas of work, preferably within public administration.

We also see that you have:

• good knowledge in economics, procurement, goal management, and result follow-up
• knowledge of meal production and meal service in large kitchens
• experience and willingness to drive development and quality work
• good knowledge of green transition in meals for preschool, school, and care
• good knowledge of sustainability issues and Agenda 2030
• leadership experience and are well versed in personnel-related issues and systematic work environment management
• good IT skills
• a valid B driver's license
