IT Technician and Caretaker – The school's digital and physical hero!

About the role

We are looking for a combined IT technician and caretaker who wants to take overall responsibility for ensuring that our school functions optimally – both digitally and physically. The role is split between half IT support and half traditional property maintenance. You will be a central person in the daily life of both students and staff.

Your tasks

IT Technician (50%):

• Support: Provide technical support to teachers and students regarding computers (Chromebooks/Laptops) and iPads.
• Administration: Manage accounts in Google Workspace and other educational platforms.
• Hardware: Responsible for purchasing, installation, and minor repairs of digital equipment.
• Network: Ensure that the school's Wi-Fi and local networks run without interruption.

Caretaker (50%):

• Maintenance: Perform minor repairs, painting work, and assembly of furniture/equipment.
• Safety: Responsible for systematic fire protection work (SBA) and regular safety rounds.
• Logistics: Handle mail, goods reception, and contact with external craftsmen or service companies.
• Outdoor environment: Ensure that the schoolyard is safe and welcoming (e.g., during snowfall or litter picking).

Who are you?

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

• Have a broad technical understanding and experience in IT support.
• Are practical and handy with tools.
• Are structured and can prioritize between urgent problems and long-term projects.
• Have a pedagogical calm.

Requirements:

• Experience in similar work (IT / property).
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
