Your workplace

At the psychiatric outpatient clinic in Karlstad, we work with both individual and group-based interventions. We collaborate in teams around the patient with psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychotherapists, administrative staff, caregivers, and doctors. We continuously work to develop our methods in line with national care and intervention programs, as well as with our work environment, which goes hand in hand with patient safety.

You will be involved in shaping the role and mission of the psychologist at our clinic. The work is flexible and independent but also involves a lot of teamwork.

Your tasks

As a psychologist at the psychiatric outpatient clinic in Karlstad, you will work with neuropsychiatric assessments, diagnostic evaluations, in-depth psychological assessments, psychoeducation, and psychological treatment in groups or individually.

Part of your mission as a psychologist with us is to contribute your psychological expertise at treatment and referral conferences. Your role includes method development and quality assurance as part of the team and in collaboration with other clinics.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. It is an advantage if you have worked in psychiatric outpatient care and/or have specialist training. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

We place great importance on personal suitability as we are keen to find the right person for the position and for our team. The work is dynamic, and you need to be adaptable to new circumstances and have a solution-focused and positive attitude. You enjoy working independently as well as collaborating with others. You work in a structured manner and find it easy to plan and prioritize in a changing work environment.

You have a good overall perspective that helps you see both the patient's and the organization's needs in your daily work, while also supporting colleagues with your expertise when needed.
