Your workplace

The Grums Health Center is a well-functioning health center located about a 10-minute walk from the Grums transport center and a 20-minute drive from Karlstad.

The health center is operated by Region Värmland and has around 7000 registered patients. We belong to the southern Karlstad operational area, consisting of the health centers Grums, Gripen, Tullholmen, Västerstrand, Skoghall, our digital unit Health Center Värmland, and the Emergency Center Karlstad.

In Grums, the health center is staffed by specialist doctors, resident doctors, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, health administrators, foot care therapists, psychologists, and a unit manager. All healthcare professionals run their own clinics, and the district nurses also have specialist clinics for patients with diabetes, dementia, heart failure, and asthma/COPD.

Your tasks

In recent years, there has been a focus on improving medical quality, routines, and working methods, which has yielded good results. We have daily interdisciplinary team rounds, and we have been on track with annual checks and waiting lists for a couple of years now. We have a strong focus on quality and improvement work and carefully monitor our quality goals. We have high accessibility for our patients and are constantly working to improve the operation.

As a district nurse, you will work with your own clinic as well as telephone and digital advice. You will be responsible for the nurses' on-call clinic a few times a week, and you will work independently but also be part of an interdisciplinary team. You will round your patient cases daily, thus ensuring a good flow in your work. You will be part of a cheerful group of six competent district nurses/nurses at a well-regarded health center.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who are a district nurse or nurse with previous experience working at a health center. It is an advantage if you have further education in areas relevant to primary care such as diabetes, dementia, heart failure, or asthma/COPD. We value accuracy, good communication, confidence in your professional role, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. We hope you appreciate development work and having fun at work!
