Your workplace

The Rehabilitation Unit at Torsby Hospital is a joint operation consisting of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and social work consultations as well as day rehabilitation. A speech therapist and assistive technology specialist are present 1-2 days a week. The unit has its own budget and personnel responsibility and operates in both inpatient and outpatient care.

We have a friendly and diverse team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nursing assistants/rehabilitation assistants, social workers, and medical secretaries who support and help each other in daily work. We are 25 employees with great commitment working to provide the best possible care and service to our patients and partners. We work closely with all departments and clinics at the hospital as well as management and the leadership team.

The sense of togetherness is always present at Torsby Hospital, and all units play a central role in working with and around our patients. We are a small hospital in northern Värmland with a big heart and commitment to our patients and employees, where all units and partners are highlighted as an important part of the hub for ensuring smooth and safe operations for those who visit us. Good collaboration between units, short decision-making paths, and close contact with the management team are hallmarks of our work.

With us, you will receive 3,000 SEK to use for exercise and other wellness activities. You also have the opportunity to engage in wellness activities during working hours for one hour per week when work allows. Your tasks

As a physiotherapist, you will work together with the patient to achieve or maintain the best possible functional ability and independence. You will examine, assess, treat, train, teach, and provide advice to the patient based on their specific needs and goals to achieve the best possible results. The work is mainly done individually with patients but also in groups. Home visits may also occur. Guidance of staff and students, as well as collaboration with relatives, occurs regularly in the work.

With us, you may work as a physiotherapist in both inpatient and outpatient care.

When you start as a physiotherapist with us, you will receive support from colleagues in the unit who will introduce you to your new role and workplace. Within the Region, you will also have access to a large network of other physiotherapists with broad expertise and extensive experience. There are also colleagues who work with specialized areas and are experts in their field. There is much expertise you can benefit from. There is an opportunity for regular professional development/training during working hours.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for someone with a Swedish license as a physiotherapist. We also welcome applications from those who are in the final stages of their physiotherapy education. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Experience as a physiotherapist is meritorious but not a requirement. A B driver's license is desirable.

We are looking for someone who is open, honest, positive, and flexible, who enjoys collaborating in a team but can also take significant personal responsibility and work independently. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability as we are keen to find the right person for the position.
