The task of the Welfare Administration is to help people who, due to age, disabilities, financial or family problems, need various forms of support and assistance. The Welfare Administration consists of three departments: care and support, assistance, and IFO (individual and family care). The care and support department includes units within nursing homes, home care, and municipal primary care. The support department includes LSS. The IFO department consists of social services, labor market units, social psychiatry, and assistance units.

Job Description

As a personal assistant, you provide individually tailored support to people with various disabilities and health care needs. The work is varied and includes everything from personal care to practical tasks in the home. You work to preserve, strengthen, and develop the user's own abilities and create a safe and meaningful everyday life where the user's needs and wishes are at the center.

In close collaboration with the home care rehabilitation and health care team, we work with extensive delegation, which means that you will perform advanced health care tasks. The work also includes transfers and handling of various aids, which constitute a significant part of the assignment. Although the work primarily takes place in the user's home, it may also involve activities outside the residence, such as visits to hospitals, shopping, or walks.

We are looking for someone who

  • is a trained nursing assistant, or has work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • has a good ability to express themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, to provide safe care with high quality and meet our users' needs based on both documentation requirements and arising situations.
  • has experience in similar work (meritorious).

To be considered for employment, you must at the interview:

  • have the right to work in Sweden and show a valid work permit

For certain appointments, a security check is conducted. If you are considered for such a position, you must:

  • undergo and be approved in a security check

In some cases, you may need to be a Swedish citizen, but you are welcome to have a foreign background.
