Ersboda adapted primary school is located in Östra Ersboda and Ersängsskolan.

Both schools are situated in the Östra Ersboda district. Ersängsskolan is a multicultural F–9 school. There are approximately 360 students at the school. Here, there is also an adapted primary school focusing on subject areas for grades 1-6 and resource classes for the entire municipality. We have one of Sweden's best school libraries, and nearby there are football fields and an adventure playground.

Östra Ersbodaskolan is a small dynamic school with preschool class up to and including grade 3, as well as an adapted primary school for grades 1-6. Competent staff and students from many different cultures work here. There are good opportunities for outdoor activities. The library, football field, and illuminated trails are located right next to the school.

We are now looking for a special teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities!

Your responsibilities

You will work as a special teacher in the adapted primary school subject areas where you will be responsible for teaching based on applicable curricula. You will work closely with your team and other educators at the school. You will create good collaboration with guardians and actively participate in the development work at the school. You will have close cooperation with our other educators at the school, student health, and the principal.

About you

As a person, you are flexible, clear, and structured. You enjoy working with children in need of special support as you are a very important part of their school day. Based on your profession, you have good knowledge of students' development and learning and can identify and work based on the individual's needs at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You have good collaboration skills, are attentive, and find it easy to communicate and collaborate with students and other important professional groups for the target group. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Preschool teacher or primary school teacher degree
• Experience working with students in adapted primary school
• Valid extract from the criminal record, due to the suitability control law
• Fluent knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of English

Meritorious

• Licensed special teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities
• Experience working with students/youths with intellectual disabilities
