Welcome to make a difference in people's daily lives every day!

Department of Health and Care

We work based on respect, participation, and safety, striving for each individual to live with as much independence, dignity, and participation as possible.

Through close cooperation, individual planning, and care, we contribute to creating conditions for quality of life – both for those who need care and for their relatives.

Department of Economy and Administration

We are now looking for an experienced controller for the Department of Economy and Administration, which consists of a great team of 12 employees. Together, we work to provide qualified support to the entire department. We strive for an open work climate where we support each other and share our knowledge. We value commitment, collaboration, and a desire to develop and streamline work processes together.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a controller with us, you have a central and particularly important role in the department's financial management. You work both strategically and operationally and provide qualified support to managers, department management, and the overall controller function within the department. The role involves close cooperation with the head of the economy and administration department, focusing on coordination, quality assurance, and development of the work within the controller function.

Your responsibilities include, in addition to your own controller responsibilities, contributing to a cohesive and well-functioning financial management throughout the department by:

  • Being the process leader for financial processes such as budgeting, follow-up, and state grants
  • Working with planning, budgeting, follow-up, and forecasts
  • Conducting investigations and producing qualified financial analyses and decision-making materials
  • Quality assuring and compiling financial documentation and reports
  • Contributing to the development and streamlining of financial processes and routines
  • Conducting environmental monitoring to support development
  • Preparing financial matters for the board and presenting certain matters
  • Being responsible for the department's work with internal control, operational plans, and annual reports

You report to the head of the economy and administration department in the Department of Health and Care and are expected to take special responsibility for ensuring quality, consistency, and development within the controller function.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is analytical and structured and has a clear overall perspective on finance and operations. You enjoy working independently but also have a good ability to collaborate and build trusting relationships in an organization with many contact points. The role requires you to process and analyze financial data and to formulate reports and decision-making materials in a pedagogical, clear, and linguistically correct manner.

You are confident in your skills and take natural responsibility for ensuring that the work within the controller function is coordinated, structured, and of high quality. You can see connections, draw well-founded conclusions, and translate analyses into clear decision-making materials. You work proactively and contribute improvement suggestions that strengthen governance and follow-up in the operations.

Requirements for the position:

  • Academic degree in finance or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • At least 10 years of experience in qualified controller work within public operations
  • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and experience working in financial and operational systems

Meritorious:

  • Bachelor's and master's degree in public administration with a focus on management economics
  • Experience in qualified controller work related to elderly care, support for disabilities, or health care
  • Experience in working with state grants

We offer you a developing and stimulating job in a socially important operation together with engaged and competent colleagues. With us, you will have the opportunity to influence, develop, and contribute to sustainable financial management.

We place great value on your personal qualities.

Warm welcome with your application!
