Your tasks

As part of our Nordic language data team, you will work closely with software developers and educational consultants. You will, among other things:

• Develop and maintain grammar tools for Swedish.
• Ensure the quality of Swedish language resources and translations.
• Identify and collect data and resources for Swedish, such as grammar, dictionaries, technical terms, and word suggestions.
• Explore and test the possibilities of using machine learning in our language technology solutions.

You will report to the development manager, Esben Gaarsmand.

Your profile

• You work independently and can plan and structure your work.
• You have experience in programming and find it stimulating to translate language technology ideas into practical functionality.
• You can communicate your work to both other language data scientists and to people without a technical background.
• You thrive in data-driven work and use language data to enhance quality and precision.
• You are curious about how language models and new methods can complement traditional language technology approaches.
• You are passionate about making a difference for people with challenges in their written communication.
• You enjoy a Nordic work environment with colleagues located in several places.

We expect you to have

• Experience with Python and NLP.
• Familiarity with Git and Bash.
• Swedish as your native language.
• Deep knowledge of Swedish spelling and grammar.
• Relevant education in linguistics or language technology.
