About the position We are looking for an experienced F# developer, but if you are a senior C# developer or a developer in functional programming with breadth, we believe you could also be a match. With us, you will belong to an engaged group of developers who are passionate about functional programming, and we are looking for someone with the same mindset. You will be part of a development team with various competencies such as frontend, backend, testing, design, and product. The systems we build focus heavily on optimizing automated workflows, and our users are both internal and external.

Our teams are responsible for building and maintaining several advanced systems within Banking Services, which are built in F# on Microsoft SQL Server. We work with event-driven systems in a domain-driven manner. The team has a high degree of autonomy and great freedom in how they choose to solve problems. The team also has a high level of involvement from the design phase all the way to production deployment.

Experience and qualifications

• 5 years of experience in software development

• Experience working with F# (or another functional language such as Haskell, Scala, ML, Elm, or Erlang) or a strong interest in developing within F# along with a solid foundation in programming

• Very good knowledge of .Net, or basic knowledge if you are an experienced developer with other breadth

• Relevant university education in computer science, systems science, or equivalent, or equivalent knowledge through work experience

• Very good knowledge of SQL

• Experience with event-driven architecture

• Knowledge of Fable/Elmish or React

• Fluent in Swedish & English, both spoken and written

You are communicative and used to collaborating with various internal contacts, and you enjoy sharing your knowledge and contributing to others' development within the organization.

You have a strong interest in backend development and functional programming, but you are also curious about the business and the actual value and purpose that the applications create. Your habit of taking responsibility for driving development forward and your good execution ability matches a solution-oriented mindset. You see opportunities rather than obstacles and have a good ability to independently plan and drive your work forward – while also appreciating collaboration, dialogue, and knowledge sharing within the team.
