Summer Temporary Positions in Infection Departments

We are now looking for summer temporary staff for our three infection departments, 4, 5, and 6.

In addition to nursing assistants, we welcome applicants who are students in medical or nursing programs.

About Us

At the infection clinic, we care for patients with severe infectious diseases requiring specialist care. We have the ability to provide high-flow treatment when needed, and each isolation room is equipped with a PAMS monitoring system. The infection clinic is responsible for the care of adult patients of various ages with conditions such as tuberculosis, pneumonia, sepsis, CNS infections, erysipelas, and endocarditis. Other conditions we treat include non-native infections like malaria. Infectious diseases present a significant and growing challenge.

On Ward 5, there are four care places where we can provide continuous monitoring and closer checks of vital parameters. Here, we care for the most fragile patients. We handle drains, central lines, severe wounds, hourly diuresis, and can provide high-flow treatment. Patients may suffer from respiratory or circulatory failure, as well as CNS effects that require closer supervision and our specific infection expertise. These patients can be monitored with the PAMS monitoring system and telemetry or can be bronchoscopyed in the operating room. Here, we work closely in teams with a well-structured day, clear round templates, and goal-oriented prescriptions regarding fluid balance and vital parameters. All to center infection care around the patient here with us.

We work in teams with a nurse and one to two nursing assistants, in close collaboration with doctors and paramedical staff. The clinic also includes an infection outpatient clinic.

Our Employment Offer

The work as a nursing assistant is a varied job that involves qualified care and nursing of patients.

Since you have daily contact with patients, we expect you to be accommodating and have very good communication skills. We place great importance on personal suitability. The most important thing for us who work here is that our patients feel safe and secure and receive the best possible care and treatment. This is the goal we work towards every day - together.

Qualifications

• Trained nursing assistant *
• Nursing student, at least four semesters
• Medical student, at least five semesters

* Trained nursing assistant in the form of the upper secondary school's Health and Care program (three years, 2500 points), Health and Care program at Komvux (three semesters, minimum 1350 points) or equivalent nursing assistant education. You need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively fall under the transitional provisions for nursing assistants, to be employed with the title nursing assistant. Otherwise, you may be employed within the category of healthcare assistant.

Employment Form

Hourly employment, we want you to be able to work between 70-100% during weeks 26 - 33.
