Do you have ideas for the future and are you driven by challenges? In Haninge, you will develop alongside supportive colleagues who want to make a difference today. Right now, one of the most ambitious transformation efforts in our municipality's history is underway. We are building a new city, about 20 minutes from Söder. Join us on our journey.

Welcome to develop with us. We are now looking for someone who wants new challenges and shares our view that activity and movement are part of the daily life of the elderly!

Your tasks include working with a focus on the residents together with other professionals. It is important for us that the individual's needs are at the center, and this permeates our working method. You motivate and support the residents to maintain and develop their abilities and guide staff in rehabilitative efforts. You work closely with care staff and initiate and support them in offering an active daily life for the elderly. The assignment also includes regular tasks such as prescribing assistive devices and conducting ADL assessments.

You will work in a team with care staff, group leaders, nurses, physiotherapists, and other occupational therapists. At Hagagården, you will have an occupational therapist colleague and two colleagues who are physiotherapists. As an occupational therapist, you can largely control how you organize your workday and contribute to developing the operations.

Your assignment
Your work is based at Hagagården's care and nursing homes in Vendelsö. Together with a physiotherapist, you are responsible for assessments and rehabilitation in our short-term care units. In these units, you will meet individuals with somatic conditions as well as those with cognitive diseases.

What we are looking for in you

  • You are a licensed occupational therapist, confident in your professional role, and have previous experience in elderly care. Documented specialist competence in elderly care, dementia, or palliative care is an advantage.
  • You enjoy working in a team and are positive about change and development work.
  • You are proactive, flexible, and see opportunities rather than obstacles.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both in meetings with people and in writing.
  • You have digital competence and an interest in implementing new solutions.
  • We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

As a person, you are committed to working with the elderly and understand the importance of having good collaboration with colleagues. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships with residents, relatives, and colleagues. You are responsible, self-driven, and can adapt your working method to the situation.

What we can offer you
As an occupational therapist with us, you will work with experienced colleagues from various professions. You will collaborate with other colleagues in the municipality within the same profession through profession-specific meetings. We offer training and further development in areas relevant to the assignment.

Working hours are Monday to Friday during the day, with holidays on public holidays and bridge days.

We offer free access to the gym in the municipal building and wellness benefits.

We welcome your application! Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.

In this recruitment, we have already made our choices of advertising channels and partners. We kindly but firmly decline any form of assistance with recruitment from external parties.

Haninge municipality sees diversity as a strength and welcomes all applicants. Our competence-based recruitment methodology aims to focus on the individual's competence and thus also counteract discrimination.
