Within Alleima and the Tube Division, the Production Unit Nuclear develops and manufactures seamless tubes made of advanced stainless steel and special alloys, primarily steam generator tubes and containment tubes used in energy supply worldwide. We are also at the forefront of future solutions for energy production.

In the Maintenance Department within PU Nuclear in Sandviken, 27 people work across two departments focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance to increase the availability, lifespan, and performance of our machines.

We are now looking for a Mechanical Technician who wants to contribute to the future of energy supply.

Your Role

As a Mechanical Technician, your main responsibilities will involve maintaining and improving our production equipment to enhance operational reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Common tasks include:

• Maintaining, optimizing, and improving production equipment to increase availability, lifespan, and performance of the machines.
• Actively working on preventive maintenance by creating, executing, and adapting PM plans.
• Participating in maintenance projects and investment projects as a technical expert, ensuring that the design of the technical solution meets maintenance requirements and complies with standards.
• Following up on completed work, creating follow-up jobs, and initiating proposals for improvements.

The position is based in Sandviken, and you will report to the Maintenance Manager for PU Nuclear.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with at least a high school education in a relevant field such as industry, vehicles, or similar, or equivalent experience deemed comparable. To be successful in this role, you need a broad technical knowledge of industrial facilities with an ability and understanding of systematic improvement work aimed at enhancing facility efficiency. Familiarity with the manufacturing process and its specific machinery, as well as hydraulics, is considered an advantage.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities, characterized by good collaboration skills and attention to detail. You have a systematic approach to work and are motivated by problem-solving while understanding the importance of documentation. Furthermore, you contribute improvements, take initiative, and share knowledge with others in the organization.
