YILPORT Gävle is responsible for the operational activities at Gävle port. They operate Sweden's third largest, and the east coast's largest, container terminal as well as a large bulk terminal. Gävle port is strategically located in close proximity to the industrial-heavy region of Central Sweden. YILPORT Gävle handles bulk and container goods as well as warehousing for its customers. The terminal has several stations for containerizing goods and is dedicated to helping its customers with new innovative solutions.

As an Electrical Service Technician at YILPORT Gävle, you will ensure that our equipment operates at its best.

Your main responsibilities include maintenance and troubleshooting of motors, electrical drive, control, and power systems in the terminal's equipment in accordance with workplace safety requirements.

You will perform preventive maintenance as well as unplanned repairs on the equipment. You have no problem working at heights, as a large part of the work is performed on container cranes. On-call work is part of the position.

You will be part of the Technical Service team and work closely with daily operations in a collaborative effort to ensure good and safe work results. The role involves a lot of personal responsibility and collaboration with other teams within the organization. You need to be self-driven and able to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

The position as a service technician is stationed at YILPORT Gävle, in Gävle port. Travel to our combined terminal YILPORT Stockholm Nord may occur.

About you

You have previous experience as a service technician and in machine repairs.

You have a foundational education, preferably as an industrial or automation electrician.

To succeed in the role of service technician with us, you need to have good analytical skills and be able to interpret electrical diagrams, circuit diagrams, technical drawings, layouts, and specifications.

You can work independently and plan your days effectively. You are a problem solver who finds solutions to issues and works towards set goals.

Qualifications:

• At least a high school diploma, preferably as an industrial electrician.

• Some years of experience as a service technician, preferably in a heavy industry.

• Holds a certificate issued by ECY.

• Basic mechanical knowledge.

• B driver's license.

• Fluent in Swedish and English.

• Able to work at heights.

Meritorious:

• Knowledge of electrical components and maintenance of these.

• Knowledge and background in technical applications of digital and analog electronics.

• Basic knowledge of mechanics.

• Advanced knowledge of electrical components and maintenance.

• Experience with control and PLC systems.

• Additional education in both electrical and mechanical fields is preferred.

Other

The position is a permanent employment with up to six months probationary period, starting as soon as possible or as agreed.
