Are you the one we are looking for?

We are now looking for a responsible, structured, service-oriented, and safety-conscious Port Technician for Central Maintenance.

As a Port Technician at Ovako in Hofors, your primary mission will be to ensure that all gates are in good working condition in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Resolve corrective and preventive issues on our gates.
• Ensure proper spare parts inventory.
• Address deviations after third-party inspections.
• Ensure that your work is performed with good quality.
• As you always prioritize safety in your work, you use self-checklists when taking on your tasks.
• You work in our maintenance system and carefully document your completed tasks digitally.

The working hours are currently during the day.

Education

We are looking for someone with a suitable 3-year high school education, but you may also have acquired equivalent knowledge and experience through previous jobs. You preferably have several years of experience in service work on gates.

Your Profile

We place great importance on your personal qualities, characterized by being safety-conscious, analytical, and having a systematic approach to work while taking responsibility for your tasks from a holistic perspective, along with good collaboration skills and being organized. You are communicative, as the tasks involve many contacts within the company as well as with contractors and suppliers.

Having good computer skills and a B driver's license are prerequisites for the position. You speak and write fluently in Swedish. You are proficient in English, both spoken and written.
