Your role with us

The on-call service is staffed by five nurses who work in the evenings. Two nurses are responsible for telephone advice, one of whom can also respond and perform interventions when the workload is high. The telephone role includes receiving and triaging calls from the service regarding patients with municipal health and medical care interventions, as well as assessing care needs and taking or communicating appropriate actions.

As an on-call nurse in Kristianstad municipality, you will work across all service areas, including home healthcare, care and nursing homes, LSS, social psychiatry, and other municipal services. The positions include scheduled combined shifts where you work both day and evening, and occasional night shifts may also occur.

The tasks are varied and may include:

• Sampling
• Wound dressing
• Changing central access
• Injections
• Medication management
• Assessments of changed health conditions

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with at least 2 years of experience. If you have several years of experience in home healthcare within municipal services and have previously worked in on-call services, we consider that an advantage. You are familiar with IT-based journal systems and we expect you to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Experience with the Lifecare documentation system is also an advantage. A driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.

Your personal qualities are very important to us, and we are looking for someone who has a good ability to communicate, promote a good work environment, and work both independently and in a team. You can create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally, and you collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions. You should be able to prioritize and plan while also having the ability to quickly adapt to the needs of the service for the day.

The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, national gymnasium, and assistive technology center in Eastern Skåne.
