Mammography Gävleborg is looking for a radiology nurse

Mammography Gävleborg operates across the county and has facilities in three locations: Bollnäs, Gävle, and Hudiksvall. In Gävle, we perform mammography examinations, stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound-guided indications, and preparatory X-rays. Our unit consists of about 25 employees, and the workplace is characterized by close collaboration among all different professional roles. Our main task is to invite participants for mammography within the screening program and subsequent investigations. We are also responsible for inviting patients referred by doctors. We have a close collaboration with the breast clinic and surgery department as well as with the pathology unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a radiology nurse with us, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care, always with a focus on quality and compassion.

Your work will include:

• mammographic health checks, clinical mammograms, and investigations
• assisting the radiologist during ultrasound examinations
• administrative tasks such as booking and invitation management, telephone, and digital healthcare services.

The placement is in Gävle, but work may occur at all locations of the unit in the county.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have an easy time collaborating and a willingness to contribute to the development of the organization, bring ideas, and take initiative in your work.

In the role of radiology nurse, you should have:

• Swedish license as a radiology nurse
• good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
• good computer skills as the entire operation is digitalized.

For this position, previous experience working at a mammography clinic and radiology department is an advantage.
