Specialist Physician for the Pediatric Anesthesia Unit at AnOpIva in Umeå

The Clinic for Anesthesia, Surgery, and Intensive Care is located in Umeå, providing intensive care for children and adults, emergency and planned surgical care, anesthesia with associated postoperative care, and sterile technical operations at the regional and county level in close collaboration with other clinics in the region. The clinic is also responsible for staffing teams within airborne intensive care in the north. The assignment includes conducting research, development, and teaching.

We are now looking for a specialist physician for our Pediatric Anesthesia Unit at AnOpIva in Umeå. The unit for pediatric anesthesia is under construction, with the goal of becoming an independent unit and a regional center for pediatric anesthesia and pediatric intensive care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work as a specialist physician in anesthesia and intensive care at Norrlands University Hospital (NUS) in Umeå is very varied and requires both broad and high competence. We are a clinic where we support each other and actively work to develop our competence and operations. The work as an anesthesiologist includes work in operating rooms, postoperative, and intensive care units. We are establishing closer collaboration with pediatric medicine and surgeons.

As a specialist physician, you will be involved in operational development, teaching, and supervision of residents, interns, candidates, and other staff categories. The position includes on-call duties in the standby line for pediatric anesthesia.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have specialist competence in anesthesiology and intensive care. Pedagogical experience and scientific merits are particularly valued, as well as additional training at a highly specialized clinic for pediatric anesthesia and pediatric intensive care. In addition to formal qualifications, applicants must have good judgment, pronounced collaborative skills, the ability to lead and inspire colleagues, and the ability to take initiative. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Prior to employment, we will require you to present a criminal record extract that is no older than one year.
