The Movement Organs Center Umeå is responsible for Orthopedics in the northern healthcare region, which includes the four northernmost counties. The Movement Organs Center is divided into the sections of Arthroplasty and Tumor, Factum, Trauma, and Spine, all of which conduct thousands of patient visits, treatments, and surgical procedures annually.

The Movement Organs Center, Umeå is a University Hospital Unit (USVE) where research and student supervision are a natural part of the clinical everyday life.

Within the Movement Organs Center Umeå, there are outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, a day surgery unit, an administrative unit, and an orthopedic technical center. Our care is characterized by a holistic view where many different professional categories are engaged in the patient's care process and collaborate for the best results with the vision of keeping Norrland on its feet and in motion.

The orthopedic ward has begun a development this autumn with close collaboration with Umeå University. We have opened our Clinical Education Ward (KUA). We are at the beginning of this both challenging and exciting journey. Training of students and staff has always been close to our hearts, and we are now further developing this. The orthopedic ward will thus become a unit with a unique blend of highly specialized care that meets clinical education. An exciting, educational, and multifaceted workplace that is in a phase of development.

We are now hiring more nurses for our ward to continue this exciting journey and would love for you to be the one interested in development who applies and becomes part of our team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.

In the ward, you will have the opportunity to learn a breadth of orthopedics from planned admissions to emergency care with trauma care and advanced spine surgery. Here, nurses play an important and natural role in the care team where you as a nurse motivate and lead other care staff.

As a nurse, you work closely with patients, and your work includes identifying risks, assessing, addressing, and evaluating the patient's various care needs. We work in fast care chains where mobilization and return to previous life are quickly pursued after surgery. As a nurse with us, you will perform regular nursing tasks for an acute care ward, such as medication management, patient and family consultations, and planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are an engaged colleague, contributing knowledge and joy. Who feels responsible for the patient's well-being and the continued development of the organization.

You are a licensed nurse with an interest in Orthopedics and emergency care. You can handle multiple tasks simultaneously and see it as a challenge to work at a varying pace. You enjoy collaborating with different people in various professional categories and actively contribute to a good working environment through your knowledge and engagement.
