Job Responsibilities

We offer an exciting and developing workplace where you as a nurse can make a difference for our patients. We investigate and treat patients with everything from lung cancer, COPD, asthma, and pulmonary fibrosis to systemic diseases and newly discovered or worsened diabetes and infections. Furthermore, we often care for patients who require highly advanced medical care, including those with tracheostomy and ventilators. This patient category often requires constant supervision, which we currently staff with nursing assistants who monitor, care for, and mobilize these patients. In the department, we handle everything from acute care to patients at the end of life. The care patients receive from us includes drainage, oxygen, and ventilator treatment, cough machines, tracheostomy care, and palliative care. As a nurse in the department, you will encounter both acute care and nursing, with short quick meetings mixed with more long-term relationships.

Requirements

A valid nursing degree is a requirement for the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute their expertise and bring energy to a team where the core of patient care is person-centered care. You should be able to quickly adapt and adjust your work pace based on different situations during your shift. We value your ability to make independent decisions and perform your work autonomously. You have a good ability to take initiative and maintain a positive attitude, as well as being flexible and easy to collaborate with.

You view sharing your experiences with others positively, and you have a curious attitude towards your own learning.

The length of the introduction and shadowing in the pulmonology department will be assessed based on your individual skills and needs to ensure you have the best possible start.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introductory program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes introductory days, supervision and training days, and shadowing days. The purpose of the Clinical Foundation Year is to create good conditions for newly graduated nurses to strengthen their theoretical knowledge and practice skills, as well as to grow into their new profession.
